A little further upstream: Endcliffe to Bingham
One park can become two without turning your day into an expedition. Follow the Porter upstream from Endcliffe and leave room for a wander into Bingham, where the hillside gives the afternoon a different shape.
Let the river set the direction
Start with the part of Endcliffe you already know, then take the upstream path towards the western end of the park. The connection towards Bingham reaches the Rustlings Road and Oakbrook Road junction, so there is a road crossing between the green spaces. Pause there to check your bearings and the traffic. This is a suggestion for an out-and-back wander: choose your own stopping point, then return along the route you recognise.
A park with a hillside
Bingham combines wooded ground with grassy slopes, and its higher parts look across the valley towards Ranmoor. Staying near the brook and exploring uphill are different outings. Pick the version that suits your company, footwear and energy that day. If you climb, turn round occasionally: a view can change surprisingly quickly when you gain a little height. There is no need to reach every corner to have made something of the visit.
